Serving the poor, disabled, orphans, and widows remote areas of Nepal.
An advisory board guides the work of Nepal Mission ensuring the effective stewardship of resources. The ministry engages the help of volunteers for various projects.
Over the years God has blessed and grown the life-transforming work of Ruth and her ministry-oriented family in Nepal. Ever since the humble beginnings of Nepal Mission various individuals, churches, and organizations have come alongside to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of small remote villages.
You will find Nepal Mission providing food, blankets, and clothing, as well as medical, school, and building supplies to those who are in need. Even the poor, disabled, and “untouchable caste” – those who are often mistreated within their own communities – enjoy dignity and kindness from the loving hands of this ministry.
We are grateful that native Nepalis like Ruth, her family, and her team of volunteers are able to effectively accomplish what most others could not even attempt.
History

Nepal Mission was founded by Ruth Parajuli, who grew up on a farm east of Kathmandu. Ruth and her family heard the message of hope in the early nineties and embraced Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Experiencing the love of the Father personally, their passion is for others to enjoy that love and know the One who sacrificed Himself for us.
In the traditional Hindu culture of Nepal, the disabled and poor are often mistreated, ignored, and marginalized because of the false belief that they “likely did something in a previous life to deserve a disability in their current life.” Consequently, they are treated like outcasts and receive very little aid even within their own communities. Ruth’s family knows this personally since two of her younger sisters are mentally disabled.
After completing Bible training in India in her early twenties, Ruth married and moved to Colorado in the early 2000s. In 2006 her and her two young boys were abandoned. With extremely limited English, she gradually began to find ways to survive and provide for her children as a nanny and house cleaner with the invaluable help of her Colorado community.
In spite of her own struggles, her home community in Nepal was always on her mind. In 2009 she formalized the Nepal Mission as a ministry platform and committed herself the ministry full time in 2021. She has worked tirelessly raising funds and awareness about her kinsman who are poor and disabled in rural Nepal.
